Inflatable PFD's are suitable for many types of users. By using CO2 (compressed carbon dioxide), as opposed to foam for buoyancy, your BLUESTORM Inflatable personal flotation device (PFD) can remain compact and comfortable until needed, then by automatic or manual activation, depending on the specific model, can become your personal flotation device with almost twice the flotation of most foam PFDs.

You may choose between models with an integral harness, and those which come without. You may also choose between manual/oral inflation, and automatic inflation which includes manual/oral inflation as back up.

We stock inflatable PFD's with the highest available bouyancy rating of 35 pounds, without adding to the cost for supplying the added safety.

You do not need a certified rearming specialist to change the cylinder for you, a huge savings and added safety component. You do not want to be offshore, have the vest inflate, and then not be able to use it again until you reach a certified rearming center! Rearming these inflatable PFD's is simple, and instructions are included.

We carry each of the appropriate rearming kits for each PFD we sell, and recommend purchasing one spare when you purchase your new PFD.

We have chosen Bluestorm PFD's after many searches for the right fit for women of small stature. Other PFD's available are consistently too long for anyone shorter than 5'3", resulting in the straps and harnesses around the shorter wearer's waist. To prevent damage to internal organs, the harness and straps must be at least at the floating ribs or higher. The Bluestorm Inflatable PFD's fulfill this criteria.
